The global textile industry generates millions of tonnes of waste every year due to fast fashion and short fashion cycles.
In 500k+ cities, over 32 million items of clothing are purchased annually – around 13 million remain unused in wardrobes before often ending up in clothing collection containers. The linear system (“buy – use – dispose”) overwhelms recycling systems, consumes enormous resources, and leads to ecological and social problems.
This project aims to initiate a shift in perspective and strengthen circular models.
